iCapital, LYNK Markets Introduce Private ETN with Pantheon, Providing Opportunities in Private Equity for Latin American Investors

iCapital and LYNK Markets have introduced the region’s first private Exchange-Traded Note (ETN) in partnership with Pantheon, a global private markets specialist. The announcement delivers a streamlined, security-based pathway for financial advisors and their clients to gain exposure to high-quality private equity strategies without the usual administrative burdens.

The offering integrates iCapital’s investment platform and marketplace with LYNK Markets’ innovative ETN technology and Pantheon’s proven portfolio management capabilities.

Pantheon serves as the inaugural manager for this platform, establishing a foundation for additional ETN products with other asset managers in the months ahead.

At the core of the structure is Pantheon’s flagship international private equity evergreen fund, which provides diversified, long-term growth potential. Investors subscribe and redeem shares on the fund’s established monthly and quarterly cycles, yet the ETN vehicle allows seamless integration into standard brokerage and custody accounts.

This hybrid approach enables private market holdings to sit alongside publicly traded securities, complete with familiar trade execution, mark-to-market reporting, and streamlined administration.

By leveraging established global infrastructure such as Euroclear and Clearstream, the solution eliminates many of the operational complexities—lengthy subscription paperwork, repeated compliance checks, and fragmented reporting—that have historically kept Latin American wealth managers at arm’s length from institutional-grade alternatives.

Asset managers stand to gain as well. The ETN format supports efficient international expansion without the need for duplicative fund documents or separate legal entities, extending the reach of core strategies through trusted securities channels.

For advisors, the result is simpler onboarding, reduced compliance overhead, and greater portfolio transparency, all while preserving the original investment discipline and governance of Pantheon’s underlying portfolio.

Victor Mayer, Partner and Head of International for Pantheon’s Global Private Wealth team, underscored the significance: the new structure directly tackles persistent barriers in Latin America, allowing eligible clients to blend private equity exposure with their existing public-market holdings through everyday market tools.

Mario Rivero, CEO of LYNK Markets, described the collaboration as a key step in reinforcing the region’s private markets infrastructure.

Wes Sturdevant, Head of International Client Solutions, Americas at iCapital, added that the launch highlights the power of the partnership and signals a broader evolution toward operationally efficient access to alternatives worldwide.

The initiative follows iCapital’s earlier strategic investment in LYNK Markets and reflects a shared vision for global distribution of private strategies.

With iCapital servicing nearly $1.2 trillion in assets across its ecosystem and Pantheon overseeing approximately $85 billion in discretionary private markets assets, the partnership combines operational expertise with investment acumen. As private markets continue to play a role in diversified portfolios, this ETN offering aims to lower entry barriers and accelerate adoption among Latin American wealth channels.
