Digital Payments Provider Checkout.com Strengthens European Operations via BLIK Partnership

Checkout.com has become a direct scheme member and official partner of BLIK, Poland’s mobile payment platform. This underscores the payments provider’s commitment to localizing its offerings in various European markets. BLIK stands out as one of the region’s widely adopted payment solutions, reportedly being relied upon by more than 20 million users for its speed, flexibility, and proper security.

By integrating directly with the system, Checkout.com enables merchants to tap into Poland and broader Central Europe with improved economics, enhanced reliability, and a seamless user journey designed to boost completion rates.

This direct connection minimizes intermediaries, leading to better pricing structures and more dependable transaction processing.

The payment experience with BLIK is straightforward and consumer-friendly.

Users generate a unique six-digit code through their mobile banking application, input it during the online checkout process, and authorize the transaction within the app itself.

This method delivers immediate confirmation backed by high-level banking security, reducing friction and encouraging higher conversion at the point of sale.

Its usage reflects a preference among Polish shoppers for mobile-native solutions that align with everyday digital habits.

Checkout.com is also preparing to incorporate BLIK’s recurring payment functionality, which started deploying across Polish banks earlier in 2026.

This feature will simplify ongoing transactions for subscriptions, utility bills, and other regular services, further embedding the method into consumers’ daily financial routines and opening new revenue opportunities for merchants in a dynamic growth market.

Adam Kokoszkiewicz, Director of Sales at BLIK, stated:

“This partnership allows Polish customers to use their preferred payment option while providing businesses with an optimized, market-specific checkout flow.”

Matthieu Barral, Head of Global Partnerships at Checkout.com, said:

“We prioritize payment methods based on merchant needs and usage patterns. BLIK exemplifies this, … playing a … role in Poland’s digital landscape. … The upcoming recurring capabilities will support sustained growth and additional applications.”

This latest integration adds BLIK to an expanding roster of European local payment options at Checkout.com, which already includes Twint (Switzerland), Swish (Sweden), and Vipps MobilePay (Nordics). Collectively, these join the company’s worldwide portfolio of more than 40 payment methods, allowing businesses to accommodate genuine consumer preferences rather than generic alternatives.

Checkout.com’s strategy emphasizes careful selection guided by shopper behavior, client feedback, market dynamics, and performance metrics.

By tailoring payment mixes to specific regions, the firm helps merchants maximize relevance and drive expansion in high-potential areas.

As Europe’s digital commerce continues to mature in 2026, such partnerships highlight the importance of deep localization for competitive advantage in cross-border trade. For merchants eyeing Central European opportunities, this development offers a timely way to connect with a tech-savvy audience through trusted channels.
