Insurtech CyberCube Strengthens DACH Region Operations via Partnership with Austrian Insurance Broker

CyberCube, a provider of advanced cyber risk analytics solutions, has entered a strategic alliance with KOBAN SÜDVERS, an Austrian insurance brokerage firm. This collaboration represents CyberCube’s inaugural broker partnership in Austria and signals a significant milestone in its broader growth strategy across the DACH region, encompassing Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

KOBAN SÜDVERS stands out as an expanding insurance broker and risk advisor with a strong international orientation.

The owner-operated company maintains 11 different business locations throughout Austria and draws on industry expertise spanning several decades. It caters to a diverse clientele that includes industrial enterprises, commercial organizations, and individual customers.

Additionally, its membership in the Worldwide Broker Network (WBN) underscores its global reach and collaborative capabilities.

Under the new agreement, KOBAN SÜDVERS will implement CyberCube’s specialized Broking Manager and Prep Module platforms.

These tools are designed to provide sophisticated, data-backed evaluations of clients’ cyber vulnerabilities and overall security readiness.

By integrating these analytics, the broker aims to elevate and expand its cyber risk consulting offerings, enabling more precise risk assessments and tailored insurance recommendations.

This move is expected to sharpen KOBAN SÜDVERS’ competitive edge within the Austrian insurance landscape, where demand for robust cyber protections continues to rise amid evolving digital threats.

Florian Traussnig, Managing Director for Risk and Insurance Technique at KOBAN SÜDVERS, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership.

He noted that the firm is actively expanding its cyber insurance business and refining its overall cyber risk approach.

The alignment with CyberCube’s capabilities, particularly through the Broking Manager tool, will allow for deeper, more measurable insights for clients.

This enhancement is poised to reinforce the broker’s reputation as a reliable partner in navigating complex cyber challenges.

Nate Brink, Head of Broker Partnerships at CyberCube, highlighted the deal’s importance for the company’s European expansion.

He emphasized how the partnership builds on existing momentum in the region and leverages synergies within the WBN network.

Brink commended KOBAN SÜDVERS for its approach to cyber services and affirmed CyberCube’s commitment to supporting such growth initiatives with cutting-edge analytical resources.

This development aligns with CyberCube’s mission to deliver software-as-a-service solutions that translate cyber risks into clear financial terms.

The company combines extensive data resources, advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, and expert input to assist insurance providers and their clients worldwide.

Originally developed within Symantec in 2015, the platform has functioned independently since 2018.

CyberCube maintains a global footprint with offices in San Francisco, New York, Chicago, London, and Tallinn, Estonia, focusing on bolstering organizational and societal resilience against cyber threats.

The partnership with KOBAN SÜDVERS comes at a time when cyber insurance demand is surging across Europe.

Insurers and brokers are increasingly seeking advanced tools to quantify exposures accurately and advise clients effectively.

By securing this foothold in Austria, CyberCube not only broadens its DACH presence but also demonstrates the adaptability and value of its platforms in supporting local market participants.

Industry professionals now generally anticipate that such collabs will play a pivotal role in maturing the cyber insurance sector, helping businesses better understand and mitigate digital risks in an increasingly interconnected world. As cyber incidents grow in frequency and sophistication, initiatives like this underscore the importance of data-driven strategies in insurance.
