Enterprise Blockchain Firm Ripple Introduces Ripple Mint to Streamline Institutional Access to Stablecoin RLUSD

Enterprise blockchain company Ripple has rolled out Ripple Mint, a platform designed to help institutional clients more efficiently handle its USD-backed stablecoin, RLUSD. The new offering aims to help organizations to create, redeem, transfer across networks, and oversee RLUSD holdings either through a web-based console or via direct software connections.

As stablecoins gain traction in areas such as trading desks, payment systems, and corporate treasury management, the demand for smoother operational tools has grown.  Ripple Mint claims to address these requirements.

RLUSD itself is issued by Standard Custody & Trust Company, LLC, a trust firm chartered by the New York Department of Financial Services.

With the introduction of Ripple Mint, institutions gain the ability to mint and redeem RLUSD at the source, move the stablecoin between different blockchains, monitor transactions throughout their entire lifecycle, and embed these activities into internal processes or applications.

Current customers can transition without interruption, retaining the reliability, security, and compliance standards they already rely on, now supported by infrastructure suited to both manual and automated approaches.

Ripple plans to develop Ripple Mint further into a broader institutional gateway for stablecoin-related operations and liquidity handling.

The launch coincides with ongoing efforts to broaden RLUSD availability beyond its initial presence on the XRP Ledger and Ethereum.

The stablecoin has expanded to additional networks, including the XRPL EVM Sidechain along with Base, Optimism, Ink, and Unichain.

This multichain approach seeks to place RLUSD where liquidity, applications, and users already operate, while continuing to strengthen the broader XRP Ledger ecosystem
