Boerse Stuttgart Digital Integrates Societe Generale-FORGE Euro Stablecoin

Boerse Stuttgart Digital has taken a significant step in expanding its regulated digital asset offerings by integrating a euro-denominated stablecoin issued by a European banking group. The platform, recognized as a key infrastructure provider for institutional crypto services across Europe, has onboarded EUR CoinVertible from Societe Generale-FORGE into its trading and custody systems.

This marks the first instance in which a MiCAR-compliant euro stablecoin from a bank subsidiary has been fully incorporated into the company’s supervised ecosystem.

The development builds on an existing relationship between the Boerse Stuttgart Group and Societe Generale that spans more than two decades.

What began in traditional capital markets—particularly structured products and exchange services in France—has progressively extended into the digital asset space.

An early illustration came in September 2025, when the parties successfully completed a test settlement using the same stablecoin on Seturion, the group’s pan-European platform designed for tokenized securities.

That pilot paved the way for a broader strategic collaboration announced in May 2026 involving Seturion, flatexDEGIRO, Societe Generale, and its digital assets subsidiary.

The latest integration of the stablecoin into trading and custody solutions represents a logical next phase of this cooperation.

By choosing a euro-based instrument issued under the oversight of a systemically important European bank, Boerse Stuttgart Digital is deliberately differentiating itself from the prevailing industry pattern.

Many crypto platforms rely primarily on dollar-pegged tokens from non-bank, Web3-native issuers.

In contrast, the German-based provider is prioritizing an asset that aligns with European regulatory standards and institutional requirements.

Officials have framed the decision as a contribution to greater strategic autonomy for the continent’s financial markets, reducing dependence on external alternatives while embedding compliance, security, and resilience into emerging digital infrastructure.

Institutional clients of Boerse Stuttgart Digital will now gain access to a stable settlement and payment tool denominated in euros that meets the expectations of regulated banks and their customers.

Company leadership has expressed the view that stablecoins are evolving into a core component of Europe’s digital finance landscape and that their mainstream adoption will be driven largely by established, supervised financial institutions rather than purely crypto-native entities.

Dr. Matthias Voelkel, CEO of the Boerse Stuttgart Group, highlighted the continuity of the firm’s role in supplying regulated market infrastructure to leading European institutions.

He noted that the partnership further strengthens the group’s digital asset presence and reflects a joint commitment to reliable, compliant crypto solutions tailored to the European market.

Jean-Marc Stenger, CEO of Societe Generale-FORGE, described the move as an advance in promoting a trusted euro-denominated digital asset backed by prominent institutions.

He emphasized that the collaboration reinforces his firm’s standing as a reference issuer of regulated stablecoins while bridging the crypto-native world with traditional market infrastructures, ultimately enabling scalable product development within a fully supervised framework.

Boerse Stuttgart Digital operates as a modular provider of institutional-grade crypto trading and custody services.

Fully regulated in Germany and aligned with MiCAR, it maintains offices across several European cities and supports financial institutions seeking to offer digital assets to their clients.

Societe Generale-FORGE, a dedicated subsidiary of the French banking group, holds the necessary licenses to issue MiCA-compliant stablecoins and deliver related services under the supervision of French authorities. This integration underscores a broader industry shift toward bank-issued, euro-centric digital money solutions as European market infrastructures seek to establish independent, regulated foundations for tokenized finance.
