Marqeta Partners with Zerohash on Stablecoins

Marqeta (NASDAQ: MQ), a card issuance and management platform, has partnered with Zerohash to enable stablecoin utilization.

Clients of Marqeta may now integrate stablecoin payments into their products seamlessly. Zerohash will handle custody, compliance, and liquidity for the payment stablecoins while Marqeta manages card issuance, acceptance, and bank and network relationships.

Marqeta notes that stablecoin usage in February 2026 was pegged at $7.2 trillion, surpassing ACH transactions. As regulations catch up, especially under the GENIUS Act in the US, stablecoin utilization is predicted to grow dramatically.

Edward Woodford, Founder & CEO of Zerohash, says that compatibility between traditional payments and transfers with stablecoins is vital to unlock value.

Zerohash has a global regulatory footprint across the EU, Latin America, Australia, New Zealand, Bermuda, and the US.
