ANNA Money Expands AI Platform via Acqusitions of Business Data Group and UK Business Forums

London-based fintech ANNA Money has completed the purchases of and Business Data Group (BDG) UK Business Forums (UKBF). The deals advance the company’s aim of creating an AI-driven operating system that supports entrepreneurs from the moment they launch a company through ongoing management and growth.

ANNA Money positions itself as an AI-enabled business account capable of handling taxes and related administrative tasks. With these acquisitions, the firm gains broader access to new founders at the incorporation stage.

BDG holds a key position among independent UK company formation providers, representing around 30 percent of that segment of the market. It runs the eFiling system, a partner programme, and a banking comparison service relied upon by formation agents and their clients.

By integrating eFiling, ANNA Money enables businesses established via BDG’s agent network to transition smoothly into ongoing bookkeeping, tax filing, compliance, and other operational activities within a single environment.

Company leaders stress that the move is designed to support, rather than displace, independent formation agents.

ANNA Money plans to enhance the technology, automation, and tools available to these agents so they can better serve their customers.

Co-founder and co-CEO Eduard Panteleev noted that ANNA Money’s growth is linked to the success of the businesses it helps launch, making collaboration with agents a priority.

UK Business Forums brings an established online community of more than 160,000 small business owners and entrepreneurs across the United Kingdom.

ANNA Money intends to maintain and further develop this platform while introducing its suite of business support tools.

The goal is to reduce the time owners spend on administrative work and free them to focus on core operations.

Together, the acquisitions form part of a longer-term strategy to replace fragmented software and specialist advice with one intelligent system covering formation, banking, accounting, tax, payments, and day-to-day administration.

Panteleev described the vision of an AI colleague for small firms that already handles invoicing, payment collection, quote generation, tax calculations and filings, plus performance insights.

Future development, referred to as ANNA 3.0, is expected to extend into customer communication, supplier management, and a wider range of operational duties.

Leadership continuity has been prioritised. Richard Osborne, founder of both BDG and UKBF, remains chairman of BDG. Rebecca Hill, who has worked with BDG for 18 years, has been appointed chief executive.

Osborne stated that the partnership aligns with the longstanding focus of both platforms on helping small business owners concentrate on what they do best.

He expressed enthusiasm for the additional investment capacity while preserving the independence, branding, and relationships valued by partners and members.

The transactions arrive as ANNA Money continues to develop its AI capabilities for UK small and medium-sized enterprises. By connecting company formation services and a large business community to its existing platform, the fintech seeks to accompany founders from their first formal step onward with technology that scales alongside their operations.
