France: Autorité des Marchés Financiers Says Watch Out for Fake News Sites

The Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF) in France has issued a caution to the public to look out for fake media websites.

According to the regulator, a bevy of news sites have recently been impersonating French news sites by copying their design and identity. Apparently, the goal is to promote a bogus trading platform – BitKeltTrade.

The bogus news sites include top media mastheads like Le Figaro, Le Monde, France Info, and more.

The scam includes fake news presented as covering famous French individuals who have made investments via BitKeltTrade

The AMF has blacklisted Bitkelttrade.com, and it is investigating other websites. The Bitkelttrade website remains live.

The domain was registered in 2025 with a listed address in Iceland, which has strong data protection laws.

The AMF posted a list of bogus news URLs, shared below.
