Temasek-Backed Xora Leads $53m Funding for Enterprise AI Firm Hang Ten Systems

Xora, a Temasek-backed investment fund, has led an additional $53 million seed round in enterprise AI services company Hang Ten Systems, bringing the startup’s total funding to $85 million.

Mayfield, which led Hang Ten’s first seed round, and Aramco Ventures also participated in the latest financing. The company said the two seed rounds closed five weeks apart.

Other investors include Intel Chief Executive Lip-Bu Tan, Micron Technology Chairman and CEO Sanjay Mehrotra, and Jerry Yang, co-founder of Yahoo! and founding partner of AME Cloud Ventures. Yang has joined Hang Ten’s board of directors.

Hang Ten provides advisory, transformation, and applied-AI services to large enterprises, using what it describes as a native-AI delivery model built around agentic code generation, a reusable skills library and domain expertise.

The company builds, changes, and runs enterprise software, targeting lower costs and shorter delivery timelines than traditional systems integration.

Its work includes software development, finance and finance analytics, enterprise migrations and human resources.

Hang Ten said it signed several multi-million-dollar contracts with global enterprises between the two seed rounds, covering advisory and development engagements across multiple industries.

Some projects are already in delivery, while others have been completed.

The new capital will be used to expand delivery capacity for existing engagements, grow the company’s engineering and consulting organisation and continue developing its platform, infrastructure and agentic skills library.

“Enterprise technology has long been one of the largest cost lines in essential industries – slow to change, and slower still to translate AI into real economic value,” said Phil Inagaki, managing partner and chief investment officer at Xora.

The bottleneck is implementation: deploying it securely, economically and at speed. That takes a different kind of services partner.

Xora said Hang Ten’s early customer commitments and production deployments were among the factors behind its investment.

The funding gives Hang Ten access to Xora’s network and its anchor investor Temasek, with the company targeting expansion into Singapore and Southeast Asia.

“We see the same urgency here in Singapore and across the broader region, where enterprises are racing to deploy AI in core operations,” Inagaki said.

Hang Ten is already working with Saudi Aramco on AI applications supporting operations across several functions, with Aramco Ventures participating as an investor.

“We spend a great deal of time assessing where AI can realistically be applied in a business of our scale,” said Mahdi Aladel, CEO of Aramco Ventures. “What makes Hang Ten compelling is the breadth.”

Aladel said Aramco teams had identified multiple functions and use cases where Hang Ten’s approach could be applied and that projects were already being scoped.

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy is also working with Hang Ten. The company said it began working with the AI firm two months ago and subsequently expanded the scope of the engagement after Hang Ten delivered against an initial list of required outcomes.

Hang Ten was founded by Vishal Sikka, the former chief executive of Infosys. Sikka said the company was focused on applying AI to large enterprises while maintaining reliability in systems used for critical business operations.

“AI can be the most powerful amplifier we have ever built. But in the enterprise, AI’s power must go hand-in-hand with reliability,” Sikka said.
