Remitian Raises $20 Million for AI Powered Accounting

Remitian, an accounting Fintech, is in the process of raising $20 million funding round.

According to a Form D filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Remitian has raised $14 million toward a $20 million funding round. The filing indicates that 84 investors have backed the firm.

Remitian is a Florida-based AI-powered financial platform that aims to automate the “final mile” of tax payment execution for accounting firms, software platforms, and financial institutions.

Remitian provides a gateway to connect with federal, state, and local tax authorities through a single API. AI agents can automatically calculate, validate, and remit tax payments on behalf of firms.

The first version of Remitian was developed inside three Canadian CPA firms, and the company is now expanding the product in the US. In May, the company announced it had processed $100 million in US tax payments during the 2025 filing season, its first full tax season operating in the States.

At that time, Solon Angel, CEO and co-founder of Remitian, said that tax software has solved many issues, but payments have been left out of the workflow.

“We built Remitian so that any platform can embed tax payments directly into the experience their customers already use. When you replace a maze of portals, passwords, and penalties with one secure API, the entire ecosystem benefits.”

Remitian previously raised $7 million from venture capital.
