Cancore, the Canton-native platform developing a Liquidity OS for Tokenized Finance, has closed a $7.2 million seed round. The capital was raised entirely through Simple Agreements for Future Tokens (SAFTs) tied to the project’s planned CNRX token, implying a $60 million fully diluted valuation.
Paper Ventures and dao5 took the largest allocations. ArkStream Capital, X Ventures, MH Ventures, and Proof of Talk also participated.
No formal lead investor was designated.
The funding will accelerate the platform’s expansion from cross-chain settlement infrastructure into a broader operating layer that combines trading, liquidity routing, automated investing, and agentic execution.
Cancore aims to connect Canton-native assets—including tokenized real-world assets—with the deeper stablecoin and DeFi liquidity that currently resides on public blockchains.
Institutions have moved to Canton for its privacy, control, and settlement finality.
Yet much of the market’s deepest liquidity remains on public networks, leaving the two environments largely separate.
Cancore addresses this gap with native, atomic settlement: both sides of a trade lock under the same cryptographic condition, so either both settle or both parties receive their assets back.
No custodian holds funds in the middle, no relay network sits between the chains, and users retain control of their own keys.
The platform has operated on Canton mainnet since April 2026.
It serves as a validator, a Featured App (with 5 million CC locked under CIP-0116), and a member of the Canton Foundation.
Live connectivity already spans Ethereum, Arbitrum, BNB Chain, Robinhood Chain, and TRON, with Solana planned next.
Cumulative mainnet activity has exceeded $85 million in settled volume, executed atomically and under self-custody across Canton and supported public chains.
Features already live include agentic trading that lets users deploy autonomous agents with dedicated balances and user-defined permissions; a self-custody wallet; trading, liquidity pools, and automated investing tools; intelligent execution routing across order books and pools; and an SDK plus MCP server for developers and AI agents.
Work continues on a 0-TVL bridge architecture designed to move liquidity without locking capital in traditional pools, deeper RWA markets, and expanded automation and portfolio capabilities.
The new capital will support additional network and liquidity integrations, more Canton-native and real-world assets, deeper liquidity routing, engineering expansion, and ongoing investment in security, audits, and institutional-grade settlement infrastructure.Investors highlighted the practical nature of the opportunity.
ArkStream Capital general partner Ye Su noted that Canton has established strong institutional foundations and that the next step is broader market liquidity, praising Cancore’s live volume and revenue from day one.
Paper Ventures general partner Danish Chaudhry compared the role to clearing, settlement, and prime brokerage in traditional markets, observing that tokenized markets currently lack an equivalent layer between Canton and public chains and that Cancore is building it to institutional security standards.
Co-founder and CEO Wasif Rashid stated that tokenization is bringing a growing range of financial assets on-chain, and the next challenge is making that capital liquid, programmable, and usable across markets.
Co-founder and COO Aleksei Sdvizhkov added that Canton provides a strong foundation designed around the requirements of financial markets, and the work ahead is making those assets and capital usable across a much broader liquidity ecosystem.
The round sits within a wider flow of capital into the Canton ecosystem.
Digital Asset, the company behind the network, previously raised $355 million in a round led by a16z crypto to expand Canton’s role in capital markets. Investment is now reaching the application layer, where institutional-grade infrastructure meets open-market liquidity.
