Partners Group Private Credit Evergreen Fund Reaches €2 Billion Milestone

In a significant achievement for the private markets industry, Partners Group, a global private markets firm, announced that its private credit evergreen fund has reached EUR 2 billion (approximately USD 2.31 billion) in size.

This milestone underscores the growing investor appetite for private credit and the firm’s expertise in delivering diversified, resilient investment opportunities.

The fund, one of the largest Luxembourg-domiciled private credit evergreen funds, reflects Partners Group’s strategic focus on sustainable growth and its ability to attract both institutional and private wealth investors across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.

Launched in 2016, the fund follows a global direct lending strategy, targeting senior secured loans to companies with strong cash flows in resilient industries.

With a portfolio of over 140 senior secured loans, the fund offers investors exposure to proprietary transactions sourced through Partners Group’s extensive private credit platform, spanning markets in the US, Europe, and Asia Pacific.

This diversified approach, combined with a thematic investment strategy, has driven consistent performance, with the fund delivering a 9% net return in the past year and an annualized return of approximately 8% over the last five years.

Christopher Bone, Head of Private Credit Europe & Asia at Partners Group, emphasized the fund’s value proposition:

“Our private credit evergreen fund offers exposure to a diversified global portfolio that targets senior direct loans to companies with strong cash flows in resilient industries. We follow a thematic approach to identify growing companies and act as a long-term partner to support future business transformation.”

Bone also highlighted the firm’s commitment to sustainable growth, ensuring vintage diversification and effective capital allocation across the portfolio.

The fund’s growth reflects broader market trends, as private credit continues to gain traction amid higher interest rates and evolving economic conditions.

Evergreen funds, with their open-ended structure and ability to accept fresh capital at regular intervals, have become particularly attractive to investors seeking flexibility and consistent returns.

Partners Group’s expertise in this space is evident, with the firm managing over USD 48 billion in assets across its global evergreen product suite, which spans private equity, infrastructure, royalties, and private credit.

Partners Group’s success in scaling its private credit evergreen fund is part of a larger growth story.

In 2024, the firm recorded a 4% increase in assets under management, reaching USD 152 billion, with evergreen funds accounting for 39% of total inflows.

The firm’s private wealth distribution network and strategic partnerships, such as its collaboration with BlackRock, have further amplified its reach.

As Partners Group continues to innovate and expand its evergreen offerings, the EUR 2 billion milestone for its private credit fund positions the firm as a key player in the private markets.

With a focus on delivering value through diversified, high-quality investments, Partners Group is equipped to meet the evolving needs of investors in a dynamic global market.
