Egypt’s Contact Creditech Partners with Kashier to Expand BNPL Offering

Contact Creditech, the digital consumer finance arm of Contact Financial Holding, has entered into a strategic partnership with Kashier, an online payment gateway in Egypt and the Middle East, to integrate Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) services from the ContactNow app into Kashier’s payment system.

The collaboration is aimed at enhancing digital payment capabilities and expanding access to flexible installment plans for a wider base of Egyptian consumers, per the announcement.

Through the integration, users will be able to choose BNPL options at checkout across Kashier’s merchant network, aligning with Contact’s goal of strengthening its digital footprint and reaching new customer segments.

Egypt’s fintech landscape is undergoing rapid transformation, driven by shifting consumer behavior, smartphone adoption, and a growing preference for cashless transactions.

According to the Central Bank of Egypt, electronic payments saw a year-on-year growth of over 30% in 2023, with digital wallets and mobile payment applications gaining prominence across both urban and rural areas.

By embedding BNPL services into Kashier’s platform, Contact Creditech aims to address increasing demand for convenient, tech-enabled financing options.

The ContactNow app already provides a suite of digital financing tools, enabling consumers to access credit and manage purchases more efficiently.

The partnership also benefits Kashier, whose payment gateway supports thousands of merchants.

The addition of installment-based payment methods is expected to boost transaction volumes and enhance customer satisfaction, particularly in sectors such as retail, electronics, and services where flexible payments can influence purchasing decisions.

The deal underscores a broader trend of collaboration within the MENA fintech sector, where companies are leveraging synergies to deliver more inclusive financial services.

Contact and Kashier emphasized their shared vision of driving financial inclusion, improving user experience, and supporting

Egypt’s national digital transformation agenda, which aims to increase financial access and reduce dependency on cash-based systems.
