Wallets linked to Trump Media and Technology Group (NASDAQ: DJT), the operator of Truth Social, recently relocated a significant volume of bitcoin. On-chain records document two transactions totaling 2,628 BTC, valued at roughly $165 million at prevailing bitcoin prices near $63,000, sent to Crypto.com addresses over the weekend.
Analytics platforms including Lookonchain highlighted the movements and suggested they could indicate a sale. Blockchain data, however, only verifies the transfer of the assets to the exchange; it does not confirm any subsequent disposal or trade.
A company spokesperson subsequently stated that the bitcoin was moved to Crypto.com but was not sold.
This mirrors the explanation offered after a similar transfer of about 2,650 BTC in May.
Crypto.com has served as one of the designated custodians for Trump Media’s bitcoin treasury program since its launch in 2025, alongside Anchorage Digital.
After the latest transfers, publicly tracked wallets associated with the company held approximately 4,261 BTC, worth around $268 million.
That figure closely corresponds to the 4,260.73 BTC the firm previously reported as pledged collateral for its convertible notes in its first-quarter SEC filing.
The filing notes that these coins are restricted from distribution or withdrawal except under specific indenture terms, with the restrictions scheduled to lift no later than the notes’ maturity on May 29, 2028.
Trump Media originally accumulated more than 11,000 BTC as part of a broader digital asset treasury strategy financed through equity offerings and convertible notes.
Subsequent price declines left portions of the position with unrealized losses that contributed to quarterly results.
Transfers of corporate bitcoin holdings to centralized platforms frequently prompt speculation about impending liquidations because exchanges enable trading.
Such movements can also represent routine custody adjustments, collateral management, hedging, or other treasury operations.
The company has not elaborated further on the specific purpose of the most recent transfers beyond confirming they did not constitute sales.
Observers will monitor upcoming regulatory filings for additional details on the status of remaining holdings.
Bitcoin has shown recent volatility around the $63,000 level, while Trump Media shares have traded lower in recent sessions.
The distinction between relocating assets to a custodian or exchange and executing a sale remains central to interpreting large corporate bitcoin activity. Trump Media continues other digital initiatives, including partnerships involving Crypto.com on products such as potential rewards tokens, even as earlier ETF applications were withdrawn.
