Anthropic Has a Revenue Run Rate that Tops $65 billion

Anthropic, the artificial intelligence firm that created Claude and is widely anticipated to pursue an IPO later this year. Is already generating significant revenue. According to CNBC, Anthropic is currently generating annualized revenue of over $65 billion. Reportedly, Anthropic earned over $11.5 billion in the most recent quarter, a dramatic jump from $787 million in the same quarter last year.

During the company’s Series H funding that raised $65 billion, Anthropic had a post-money valuation of almost $1 billion.

Estimates today place Anthropic’s IPO valuation between $1.5 and $1.8 billion. An IPO later in the year could see a $2 trillion valuation.

Compared to OpenAI, creator of ChatGPT, Anthropic is lapping its competition. OpenAI has an estimated revenue run rate of $40+ billion and an anticipated loss of $14 billion for 2026. Anthropic hit positive operating income last quarter.

Anthropic benefits from its heavily focused enterprise services. Some have described Anthropic’s growth as “unprecedented.”

While you may be able to buy shares on private securities marketplaces, Wall Street is already revving for a hot public offering for the firm as the US extends its lead in the global race to provide artificial intelligence services to businesses and the masses.
