Tokenization: tZERO Partners with Sui on Digital Securities

tZERO has announced a partnership with Sui to enable digital securities, or tokenized assets. The company says its services will integrate directly with the Sui blockchain to support trading, issuance, custody, and more for institutional-grade digital securities.

Sui is a layer-one blockchain created specifically for financial services. Sui was founded by the core team behind Meta’s stablecoin attempt.

tZERO is a trailblazer in the digital securities sector and operates a regulated broker-dealer, transfer agent, and ATS.

Alan Konevsky, CEO of tZERO, said Sui’s approach to regulated digital assets will create a strong foundation for the development of next-generation regulated financial applications.

The partnership aims to build momentum toward shared blockchain-based infrastructure, a goal shared by both tZERO and Sui, and to expand access to digital asset securities issued on-chain.

Tokenized assets or digital securities are widely viewed as the future of regulated offerings. While this concept has been around for years, the financial services industry’s significant compliance requirements have slowed adoption of tokenized shares. The current administration has supported the digital asset sector, and regulatory progress has followed, with more in the works.
