Peak Design Returns to Kickstarter & Secures $1M in 24 Hours For Everyday Line

Everyday Message 4

California startup Peak Design returned to crowdfunding platform Kickstarter earlier this month to raise $500,000 for four new bags of its Everyday line. Within 24 hours, the company’s initiative not only surpassed its initial goal but also went on to captured over $1 million. It is now sitting at $1.5 million thanks to 6,700 backers.

Everyday Message 3Following the success of the Everyday Messenger bag, which raised a total of $4,869,472 from 17,029 backers last year on Kickstarter, the Peak Design team reportedly set out to create four more bags for the line, which are the Everyday Backpack (features two sizes), the Everyday Tote, and the Everyday Sling. The company stated the Everyday Line delivers “re-imaged” carry solutions that are targeted towards urbanites, creatives, bike commuters, parents, travelers, adventurers, and everyone in-between.

Adam Saraceno, marketing director at Peak Design, stated:

Everyday Bag 2“For us, the Everyday Messenger wasn’t a bar to leap over but a foundation to build on. Last year, we learned how to apply our design acumen to the bag category. Tis year, we’re finishing what we started with a full lineup of bags, all of which have been painstakingly crafted to meet everyday carry needs better than, in our humble opinion, anything else out there.”

The new Everyday Line features lightweight, waterproof material that is all custom with a lifetime guarantee. The bags will also feature dedicated carry for laptop/tablet devices and tripods, along with discreet built-in luggage straps. The Everyday Sling is currently available for $125, the Everyday Tote is $155, and the Everyday Backpack is $199.

The Everyday Line’s Kickstater campaign is set to close on September 9th.
