With the 2016 World Series already in full swing, GoFundMe revealed that more than 100 campaigns on its crowdfunding platform have already raised $100,000 to purchase Wrigley and Progressive Field’s high priced game tickets.
A few campaigns include:

- Get my Grandpa to the World Series: $12,620 raised by 496 people in 2 days
- Send Mr. Gage to the World Series!: $2,560 raised by 101 people in 6 days
- Let’s send Edna to see her Cubs win: $9,185 raised by 152 people in 2 days
- Let’s Get Richie To The Cubbies Game:$6,734 raised by 119 people in 3 days
- Marske Breaks the Curse: $2,820 raised by 112 people in 3 days
Currently, the Cleveland Indians and the Chicago Cubs are tied 1-1, with the third game of the series to be held on Friday (October 28th).
