David Mandelbrot is Now Indiegogo’s Chief Operating Officer

David MandelbrotIndiegogo has just promoted an existing team member to its senior executive bench.  The “worlds largest online funding platform” has announced that David Mandelbrot will be its new Chief Operating Officer.  In this role Mandelbrot will have oversight over “key” departments including; Product, Business Development, Design, Digital Marketing and Customer Happiness. Mandelbrot joined Indiegogo in 2013 as Senior VP of Operations.  His promotion was said to be indicative of his “substantial contributions to Indiegogo’s market growth and gain in momentum”. Mandelbrot previously did a tour at Yahoo where was VP and GM of Media and Entertainment. Most recently, Mandelbrot was CEO of Tynt Multimedia, which was acquired in January 2012.

“David has proven himself to be a skilled leader and innovator, directing many of our most important product improvements in ways that benefit campaign owners and contributors alike,” said Indiegogo CEO Slava Rubin. “As we continue to grow rapidly, I’m confident David will help drive customer acquisition and product development.”

indiegogoMandelbrot recently oversaw the rollout of Indiegogo’s new service InDemand. This feature allows campaign creators to transition from crowdfunding to ecommerce. He also spearheaded several significant company-wide initiatives including the launch of its mobile apps, a partnership with Amplifier, a full-service perk-fulfillment outfit, and the newly announced distribution deal with Vimeo at Sundance Film Festival.
