Crowdfunding evangelist Sandlund sees JOBS Act helping non-techies

Talk about crowdfunding typically centers on technology startup companies making software, apps and groovy gadgets, but the coming investment strategy has implications for traditional mom-and-pop businesses too, says one self-described crowdfunding “evangelist.”

Jonathan Sandlund, Columbus-based founder of Crowd Cafe, a source of information and research on crowdfunding, is scheduled to speak Tuesday night on the emerging industry and how it could affect small-business owners.
