Kickstarter CEO Perry Chen is reported to be presenting at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland this week according to USAToday. The five day conference kicks of this week in the picturesque ski village featuring some of the most influential business, political and though leaders around the world. USAToday is reporting that Chen, along with Matt Mullenweg founder of ubiquitous open source Content Management system WordPress, and choral composer Eric Whitacre are scheduled to speak on “how digital collaboration aids artistic creativity“.
The inclusion of crowdfunding leader Kickstarter amongst the many luminaries is indicative of the far reaching impact that crowdfunding has created through out the world in a very short time.
Many other tech gentry will be in attendance or speaking including; Sheryl Sandberg from Facebook, Marissa Mayer CEO of Yahoo, Microsoft founder Bill Gates, digital media prognosticator Jeff Jarvis, amongst many others.
The event opening address takes place this Tuesday at 6PM GMT +1. The forum has listed a Social Media page for parties interested in following the conversation.
