THE THUMB-SIZED GAMES CONSOLE Gamestick has ended its Kickstarter run covered in glory and with almost six thousand people to thank.
The console initially had the goal of raising $100,000. It beat that target easily and broke $600,000 over its weeks on the crowdfunding website.
Over time it has added a number of stretch goals – a dock, a redesigned controller and a colour range.
The excitement as it closed in on the end of its Kickstarter time was palpable. At its close Gamestick had raised $647,658 from 5,691 backers.
Funders get hold of the Gamestick and for under $80 you could have bagged yourself both a mention in the system’s credits and your own console.
