Equity crowdfunding platform Crowdcube announced another crowdfunding success on their equity portal this past week. Ovivo mobile communications offered a 12.5% stake in the company for £150,000. This round of fundraising captured 70 investors with a significant chunk being invested in the final few days of the pitch.
This makes it £600,000 successfully raised for four businesses in the last four weeks on the UK based crowdfunding platform.
In the same missive Crowdcube noted that the speed of some offerings had resulted in some investors missing out in participating in the funding rounds. Crowdcube suggested two tips:

Invest early. Remember, no money will leave your bank until the pitch (and legal paperwork) is completed

Follow a pitch. If you follow a pitch you’ll be automatically emailed when a pitches passes 25%, 50% and 75% of its target.
