“Funded” TV Show Ramping Up, Accepting Project Pitches Now

Baratunde Thurston is a comedian, writer and entrepreneur based in New York City and he wants to hear about your crowdfunding project.

Thurston is currently teaming with AOL Studios on a web series called Funded and its intent is to cover crowdfunding as a new process for launching businesses around the United States. The preview above (apparently called a sizzle reel in industry parlance… learn something new every day) gives a hint as to how the series might play out, with Thurston talking directly to project creators in their own native habitats.

Thurston’s blog has a form that crowdfunding project creators can fill out to notify Thurston and his team. If selected, Thurston may pay you a visit and cover your project and the process behind it. Click here to fill out the form.

This is just the latest in a recent surge of video-related crowdfunding plays. Entrepreneurs and creatives are waking up to the amazing stories of the entrepreneurs in the crowdfunding space and racing to highlight these stories in new ways. It is really exciting and the industry stands to benefit from the additional coverage.
