Brewdog Brewery Reported to Have Raised £1 Million in First 24 Hours

Wall of Fame for Investors BrewdogBrewDog Brewery which has launched a crowdfunded equity offering on their web site attempting to raise £4 Million in new equity has been reported to have raised £1 Million in the first 24 hours of the campaign.  The offering, titled “Equity for Punks” is scheduled to run until January of 2014 but if this pace continues it may be filled within days, not months.

As previously reported on these pages the share offering also includes rewards for shareholders.  BrewDog actively courts shareholders on the internet and via various social media.  Some shareholders get their photo posted on the wall of their local BrewDog Brew DogBar.

Brewdog is one of the fastest growing breweries in the United Kingdom.  Management expects sales to top £20 Million this year.  The company was founded only in 2007 by two 24 year olds, James Watt and Martin Dickie.  The pair have created a unique approach to artisanal beer while engaging their customers to become lifelong advocates of their product.
