WATCH: An Interview With Kickstarter Co-Founder Perry Chen

Time is valuable, and trust that I wouldn’t say this if I weren’t serious: This is a must-watch video.

Why? It isn’t every day you see Perry Chen speaking this candidly about Kickstarter’s ethos and history. Better yet, it isn’t every day you see Michael Eisner weighing in on the Kickstarter approach to producing films.

Perry Chen is CEO and co-founder of Kickstarter. He was recently at the Aspen Ideas Festival and was interviewed by Aspen Institute President and CEO Walter Isaacson. Of particular interest is Chen’s discussion of the importance of governance to Kickstarter, as well as an explanation of how projects are approved and how their process and approach changes over time. Other topics discussed include IP concerns, transparency, controversial campaign and the chances of Kickstarter entering the equity space.

If you want to know more about how Kickstarter works and where it is headed, this is an hour well spent. Watch below…
