Equity Endeavor Tests Crowdfunding Platform In Austin, New Orleans

equity endeavorEquity Endeavor is a rewards-based crowdfunding platform that has just launched two pilot platforms. The platforms will focus on projects in Austin, Texas and New Orleans, Louisiana.

Equity Endeavor is described as a “city specific crowdfunding platform created to help local businesses and entrepreneurs raise funds for strategic growth.” In other words, it is rewards-based crowdfunding with a local focus.

In theory, this should push success rates way past the typical rates you would see on less focused platforms. The local focus will mean that traffic and interest will be centralized in the communities the platform serves, and all campaigns should be extremely relevant to the users browsing at any given time.

Co-founder Eric Sonnier told the Austin Business Journal that the platform is “geared toward small businesses seeking $5,000 to $45,000 for improvement or expansion projects.”
