Pushing almost $800 million pledged on projects to date, Kickstarter has tallied:

4.8 Million people have backed a Kickstarter project

1.4 Million have backed more than one project

144,000 people have backed ten or more projects.
Sharing data like this is part of the larger quest in the ongoing effort to juice growth and to keep the projects coming. Kickstarter has traditionally been pretty open about sharing their site statistics. They actually update their information daily sharing specific category data metrics. After hosting over 100,00o projects with a 44% success rate – they have have generated a lot of experience. As they continue their global role out and extend their platform it is interesting to reflect where they are now contrasted from where they started. Pretty amazing if you ask me.
