That is how much cash Mighty No. 9 was able to raise from 67,226 backers in just 31 days on Kickstarter. That is about $125,000 a day. The average contribution: $57.20.

When combined with funds raised off of Kickstarter through PayPal contributions, the total actually stretched beyond $4 million.

For backers, this means that every single stated stretch goal for the campaign was hit. That is 16 extra features that the crowd’s participation was able to secure.

They include in-game features, but the most important stretch goals have to do with console support. The game will be released on PC, Mac, Linux, PS3, Xbox 360, PS Vita, PS4, Wii U, Nintendo 3DS and Xbox One. In other words, the devs promise to create a version for what amounts to just about every conceivable gaming platform.

The effort was good for #6 on the list of all-time Kickstarter campaigns.

The campaign found serious success toward the end, with backers pledging almost a million dollars over the last 24 hours of the campaign.

Now the project organizers will shift focus to delivering the game, which is slated for release 18 months from now. With the wide range of supported consoles, this game could end up being a huge success outside of crowdfunding as well, and the crowd will know that they had a hand in making it happen.
