The creators of the Vybe smart bracelet have launched a campaign on Crowdhoster to secure preorders for their smartphone-paired bracelet. Their goal is $43,000, but the team has already amassed over $68,000 at the time of writing with 19 days left in the campaign.
Vybe is an innovative smart bracelet for smartphone users to stay connected to their devices when not in reach. While wearing a Vybe, users will be notified through discrete vibration of incoming calls and text messages. Additionally, Vybe will alert owners if they’ve wandered too far from their phone, preventing the common mistake of leaving a phone behind.
Crowdhoster is becoming an increasingly-popular means of crowdfunding because of the lower associated fees and fine-grained control over the display of the campaign itself. The campaign for Soylent went a long way in popularizing the solution.
