Kickstarter, while always having allowed projects based anywhere in the world to crowdfunding on their site, has recently launched “native” platforms in multiple other countries. The results from these sites, while transacting in their own currency, are included in these numbers.
Kickstarter was launched in 2009 and over 5.3 Million people have pledged to projects on their platform since that time.
