Bendigo Partners LLC and Asurvest Join Forces to Deliver the First Risk Management Products for Equity Crowdfunding.
A person familiar with the situation has indicated that Asurvest, Inc., a developer of risk management products, and Bendigo Partners, LLC, a private investment firm, are expected to announce a strategic alliance to develop and promote hedging products designed for equity crowdfunding. Bendigo will become an investor in Asurvest as part of the company’s current Series Seed funding round. Asurvest will leverage its relationship with Bendigo to roll out the first risk management products for U.S. and international crowdfunding portals.
Asurvest was founded by Luke Cooper an experienced lawyer and entrepreneur with 12 years of investment experience in startups and later stage companies. A Baltimore based company, Asurvest was created this past January with the stated goal of providing investment insurance for investors on crowdfunding portals. The company has been hiring key staff over the past several months as they build their business.
Bendigo Partners is a New York City based firm which formed in 2008 with the intent of capitalizing on the disruptive change occurring in the financial industry. Benidgo was founded by Jarrett Lilien who previously has operated both retail and institutional businesses in the banking and brokerage industries. Jarrett was also Co-Founder of TIR Securities , a global institutional stock broker, which was subsequently sold to E-Trade. Jarrett was acting CEO of E-Trade Financial from November 2007 until March of 2008.
