Kano’s Kickstarter campaign has ended. The small, DIY Raspberry Pi-powered computer raised $1,522,160 from 13,387 backers.
The raise was good enough to push the campaign to third on Kickstarter’s all-time list for design products. Kano leaped the Elevation Dock for that spot. It wasn’t quite enough to unseat the Emotiv Insight at #2.
The focus will now shift toward delivery, with Kano kits slated to hit backers’ doorsteps in July of next year. The Kano team said in a comment earlier this month that they’re intent on delivering on time…
Bottom line: We are absolutely, unwaveringly committed to delivering your kits on time. In June 2014, we’ll ship Kano in all its glory, and over the next six months, we’re going to adopt and absorb as many of your tweaks, tips, and feature requests as we can.
