Kreyos Meteor Smartwatch, one of the top crowdfunding smartwatch campaigns to date having raised $1.5 million in August 2013, released a much anticipated video of their wearable tech during their stint at CES 2014. Delivery of the Kreyos was delayed this past November but expectations are the product will be shipping soon for backers of the Indiegogo campaign. The management team has stated to backers the watch will be shipping in mid to late February.
Some of the differentiating advantages of the Kreyos versus the growing number of competitors are the claims of voice and gesture controls for the wearable tech.
While the delivery was has been delayed several months, this is not uncommon in the crowdfunding world. More than a few smartwatch campaigns have experienced excessive delays. Overwhelmed with orders Pebble was delayed many months and the Touch Time Digital watch is over one year late for disappointed backers.
