CrowdBoxTV Features “Live” UK Equity Crowdfunding Pitches

Big Blue CuddleThe first live equity crowdfunding pitch by CrowdBoxTV will hit British broadcasting this weekend.  On Sky 192, this Sunday at 5PM GMT CrowdBoxTV  will feature online retailer Big Blue Cuddle who is seeking to raise £65,000 in return for 13% equity in order to grow the business and increase its donations to children’s charities throughout the UK.

You ShopLondon based Big Blue Cuddle is a social enterprise that believes it is uniquely positioned as the only UK supplier of top European designer clothing for children.  Up to 50% of Big Blue Cuddle’s revenues go to children’s charities while also uniquely introducing new brands to the UK market.  The Big Blue Cuddle has an active pitch on crowdfunding platform CrowdMission – a site that allows individuals to invest as little as £10 in return for equity in the business.

We DonateBig Blue Cuddle has more than 30 international suppliers that provide clothing at discounted rates to the online retailer.  This makes it possible for the company to donate between 15% and 50% of a customer’s spend to support a variety of children’s charities in the UK.

Lara SoetekouwLara Soetekouw, founder of Big Blue Cuddle, commented:

“There is a clear need to find new, creative solutions to support charities without tapping into the pockets of the public or the government. Big Blue Cuddle is pioneering a new business model, a for-profit enterprise that is designed to support charities. We are thrilled to be the first equity pitch to be aired on British TV.”

Karen DarbyKaren Darby, founder of CrowdMission, said:
