Short of a few Google+ hiccups, Alon Goren and myself had a great conversation with Toby Martin and Arne Loermann with Bragi LLC. Bragi is the company behind The Dash, which has raised over $2.3 million on Kickstarter.
For a minute there it looked like Bragi was going to be able to give Pebble a run for its crowdfunded money, but that doesn’t appear to be in the cards anymore. Still, it is a hugely successful raise in its own right.
We sat down with Toby and Arne to discuss their strategy. They do divulge that Bragi hired some outside help for executing the campaign, although they remain nonspecific in how much they’ve spent or who they hired. They’re also extremely forthright in addressing some of the concerns around the campaign, most notably a story that broke last week regarding an Apple patent that The Dash may find itself at odds with.
