Realty Mogul has been named a “Start-Up to Watch” for 2014 at Digital LA’s Digerati Awards. Digital LA is the founder of Silicon Beach Fest, a biannual start-up entertainment conference.
Realty Mogul was recognized alongside other Los Angeles-area startups, including SnapChat and DreamWorks Animation.
“We’re truly honored to be included in such a prestigious group,” said Jay Samit, Realty Mogul’s Executive Chairman who accepted the award for the company. “The Digerati honorees include developers of social media ad networks, transmedia web series, video games, and virtual reality goggles. We at Realty Mogul do like to think that we’ve driven some change in the real estate industry by enabling accredited investors to participate in larger real estate syndications to which they wouldn’t have previously had access. Nevertheless, this honor was quite unexpected, and really I’m just grateful to all of our investors and industry partners who have thus far helped contribute to our success.”
Realty Mogul just announced a deal yesterday that financed 141 apartment units in the Los Angeles area. The deal includes a plan to reposition those units via renovations and professional management.
