Brief: Pozible & GiveNow Form Partnership

GiveNowAustralian crowdfunding platform Pozible has formed a new partnership with  Australia’s leading charitable fundraising platform GiveNow.  The charity platform GiveNow sees an opportunity to benefit from the project based approach that Pozible offers.  The two organizations are working together to enable approved organizations to accept donations directly from Pozible – next to or in lieu of offering up rewards.  Eligible charities will also offer tax deductible receipts as part of their crowdfunding campaigns.

Pozible has experienced a good amount of success with not for profits / charitable organizations.  To date Pozible has raised over $1.5 million in their “Community” category – but they have not offered straight donations as part of the campaigns.  The new affiliation will facilitate this new approach.

Pozible Big LogoTo take advantage, a charity/NFP will first need to be registered with GiveNow, providing them with their authorities to fundraise and, if they have it, evidence of their Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status. If not already registered, a charity/NFP can go through that process here

Once registered with GiveNow a charity/NFP will need to enter its BSB number in to Pozible when building its campaign. The partnership allows Pozible, through GiveNow, to verify that charity has the relevant fundraising authorities. This is required to comply with Australian laws and regulations relating to charitable fundraising. Information shared through this partnership will allow charities/NFP’s to quickly and easily set up a campaign on Pozible.
