As part of the CNBC Tech Crowd series (and accompanying votes by the viewers), Don Shulsinger one of the creators of the Blink was interviewed regarding his device. Blink is a product crowdfunding on Kickstarter and standing about $400,000 already raised. The device is described as “one-of-a-kind home monitoring system” It boasts a “stylish, totally wire-free design houses innovative HD video technology. Blink incorporates motion sensors and of course connects to your iPhone or Android device.
Shulsinger shares that they determined there was no product like the Blink existing on the market today. They made the decision to take their product to the crowd and “lo and behold” it has been a huge success. He also sees Blink being the beginning of a great product line they can offer to consumers. He also commits to be adding Apple’s home kit / iOS integration plus rolling in Android functionality.
