Mark One, the company behind Vessyl, a cup that automatically tracks your consumption has closed $3 million in seed funding co-led by Felicis Ventures and Li Ka-shing’s Horizons Ventures. Vessyl ran a pretail crowdfunding campaign this past July where they quickly jumped to over $1 million in pre-sales. Vessyl tracks the users consumption throughout the day – from “coffee to beer” and reportedly measures calories, fats, sugars and even caffeine.
This financing round is expected to enable Mark One to continue building out its team and will support the manufacturing and delivery of Vessyl.
“We believed in Justin and the Mark One team from the first meeting because they created an awesome product, which looks like it was sent from the future to empower people by enabling them to track their nutrition effortlessly,” said Aydin Senkut, founder and managing director of Felicis Ventures.
Bart Swanson from Horizons Ventures said, “Justin has created an extremely disruptive product with global appeal and brilliant design. The Vessyl will help us make life-long healthier choices.”
Vessyl while tracking consumption will also provide personalized and actionable feedback to the user to help them achieve their personal health goals
Mark One has extended its presales campaign.
The San Francisco based company was co-founded by Justin Lee and Yves Behar. Mark One is a consumer brand that aims to build desirable products that engage, inform, and inspire you to make healthier choices in real time. The Vessyl is their first product.
