The House Crowd MD receives One to Watch accolade
Frazer Fearnhead was named as a ‘One to Watch’ in the Property Entrepreneur category.
“I’m sure all my fellow shortlisters would agree that leading a business successfully takes the support of a dedicated and hard-working team, and with The House Crowd I am fortunate to have a talented group of people all pulling in the same direction. We are going from strength-to-strength.”
The House Crowd was set up in 2012 when Frazer spotted an opportunity to democratise the property market through crowdfunding. Since then the business has raised more than £5million pound from investors.
His previous business success includes The Armchair Property Investor, a business set up to help amateur property investors. In three years, it sold more than £40m worth of investment property and was bought by Braemer Group Plc in 2007 for £2.25m.
Frazer added: “There is a revolution happening, aided by the interconnectivity of the digital era, that is giving power back to the people and creating a global community that can interact with each other, cut out big institutions and join forces for the common good. I am incredibly proud of what we have, and will achieve.”
The House Crowd states its platform has raised £5.4 million to date crowdfunding 85 properties.
