Seeking to introduce a new type of cup container to the market, Slovenia-based entrepreneur by the name Ane Miklavec has launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise $25,000 for the Goat mug. Within a few days, the project surpassed its initial goal and has reached $194,000 thanks to over 5,000 backers.
The cup, which resembles a goat’s horn, supposedly helps the user enjoy every sip of their coffee. The cup also comes with a special holder with leather touch that will simply turn into a stand so that anyone who uses it can keep the mug on their desk. It also comes with a set of two straps so the user can attach it to a bag or a shoulder.
Other features include:
- Sustainable: Made from 110% eco materials BPA FREE!
- 100% Leakproof: No more of those coffee stains on your clothes
- Hot Drinks: The mug will keep your coffee hot for up 2 hours
- Dishwasher Safe: Will handle the harshness of the dishwasher
Explaining its creation, the Goat Mug team shared, “If you love coffee as much as we do, we’re sure you would LOVE to be able to drink it anytime anywhere. And so would we! That is why we decided to make a coffee mug that is practical and sustainable, but is also a fashion accessory and tells the primeval story of coffee.”
In regards to any risks, the team noted, “Our team has lots of experience with product design, production and tooling processes. We believe that being well prepared, expecting the unexpected and having a back up plan is what makes us trustworthy.
“Since the design of the Goat mug is so different from all other coffee mugs out there, we had to pay special attention to finding the right producers that will enable the production of the Goat mug to run as smoothly as possible. We spent almost a year arranging and optimising all steps in production line. We already financed some parts of necessary tooling, but we need your support in order to finalise all the details and missing parts.
“We want to be 100% honest with our customers and will keep you up to date with EVERYTHING. Every bit of change will be posted in our updates section, so you’ll always know how far in production or in the shipping process your Goat mug is.”
The Goat mug’s campaign is set to close on January 3rd.
