Bitstamp bitcoin exchange is in the process of completely rebuilding its platform. In a series of tweets, libertarian entrepreneur and BitStamp CEO Nejc Kodrič has kept site users up to date on the progress to reanimate the popular bitcoin site. Last week, BitStamp reported that less than 19,000 BTC had been pilfered by hackers. BitStamp assured all users that all balances prior to January 5th (when the site was attacked) that balances would be honored in full.

Earlier this week Nejc had estimated the site would be live in 24 to 48 hours but that time frame was pushed back as the “all hands” team continued to work diligently to get the site online.
