Later this month Crowd15 will present the Nordic Crowdsourcing & Crowdfunding Conference in Copenhagen, Denmark. Well known names in the crowdfunding industry are set to appear and share their opinion and perspective on the fast growing collaborative economy. Speakers include; Lasse Mäkelä of Invesdor, Michael Eis of Boomerang.Dk, Kevin Berg Grell – noted crowdfunding researcher (and Crowdfund Insider contributor), Ryan Rutan of Fundable, Shelly Kuipers of Chaordix, Benny Engelbrecht – member of Parliament and many others.
Frederik Ploug Søgaard, Chairman for Danish Crowdfunding Association, said of the event;
“Danes have already taken to crowdfunding, and with even better access, this will become the next big finance model for SMEs.”
“Startups need more know-how on how to tap into the crowd. Reports show that companies with crowd- and network-based business models perform better and grow faster compared to companies with other business models,” shared Flemming Binderup Gammelgaard of the Danish Crowdsourcing Association.
The event will also incorporate a launch program for aspiring startups. The “nerds” from the Danish Crowdfunding Association will be available to provide their insight and feedback into the funding process.
”Access to capital is the main obstacle for SMEs with high growth potential. Crowdfunding can help companies overcome this obstacle while at the same time involving consumers on a whole new level. Crowdfunding creates opportunities for startup businesses and strengthens the economy,” commented Sigurd Schou Madsen, a Political consultant with the Danish Chamber of Commerce.
