Last month, Miami, Florida startup Kabaccha Shoes took to crowdfunding giant Kickstarter with a goal of $25,000. Within only 24 hours, the project raised the initial goal and since then it has hit over $380,000 thanks to nearly 1,500 backers.
Kabaccha Shoes are described as ultralight, comfortable and actually affordable. They are hand-crafted in Italy by artisan shoemakers and fit feet between the sizes of 7 and 16 (40-49). The company’s notes, “Kabaccha Shoes redefine the age old boring black dress shoe – by adding a modern twist, new technologies and a splash of color. We make Modern Shoes for the Modern Man.
“Our brand embodies the freedom of choice and expression. We want you to express yourself the way you want. Kabaccha Shoes will always be about color, comfort and you. We set out to make shoes for the entrepreneur, the professional and the aspiring creative – shoes that are good looking, premium quality, extremely comfortable and affordable!

Kabaccha’s shoe styles are the loafer and the wingtip. There are 18 colors to pick from and the company recently added 2 subtle colors for the professional environment.
With only 19 hours until its crowdfunding campaign comes to an end, Kabaccha Shoes have become the most funded footwear project on Kickstarter. The brand beat former record holder Thursday Boot Co. and Freaker Feet.
