Ignite Lighters, creators of an award-winning line of flameless, electronic USB pocket lighters, recently launched a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter for their latest innovation, the Illume ArcLighter – the self-dubbed world’s first flameless candle lighter powered by patent pending ArcLighter Technology.
The Illume ArcLighter is powered by new patent-pending technology that replaces the traditional flame with a super high-intensity electric arc that can instantly light anything from candles to fireplaces. Features of the lighter include:

After launching on Kickstarter, the project immediately soared to the top 3 most popular design projects and has already exceeded its $45,000 goal within a week. Co-creator of Illume ArcLight, Shanu Mohamedali stated:

What makes the Illume ArcLighter so unique is what it does not have. Unlike a traditional lighter, there is no flame or fuel.
