Ignite Lighters, creators of an award-winning line of flameless, electronic USB pocket lighters, recently launched a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter for their latest innovation, the Illume ArcLighter – the self-dubbed world’s first flameless candle lighter powered by patent pending ArcLighter Technology.
The Illume ArcLighter is powered by new patent-pending technology that replaces the traditional flame with a super high-intensity electric arc that can instantly light anything from candles to fireplaces. Features of the lighter include:
- No flame and no fuel
- No coils and no contact
- Patent-pending technology
- Lights in any director
- Rechargeable with USB dock
The team stated:
“When we set out to create a new candle lighter, we started by reinventing everything we know about candle lighter today. From its design, to how it works and even replacing the traditional flame. Simply press, point, and light. Lighting candles will never be the same.”
After launching on Kickstarter, the project immediately soared to the top 3 most popular design projects and has already exceeded its $45,000 goal within a week. Co-creator of Illume ArcLight, Shanu Mohamedali stated:
“It’s unlike any lighter you have ever seen. It’s the lightsaber of candle lighters.”
What makes the Illume ArcLighter so unique is what it does not have. Unlike a traditional lighter, there is no flame or fuel. Instead, it is powered by a rechargeable Lithium-ion battery and produces a super high-intensity electric arc that can instantly light candles, gas stoves, incense and more. And because it’s flameless, the Illume ArcLighter can be used in any direction without the fear of flare-ups.
The Illume ArcLighter includes a convenient USB powered charging dock to ensure it is always charged and always within reach. The campaign continues through April 26th, 2015 and the lighter can be pre-ordered online now through Kickstarter starting at $40.
