Remember the days when working full-time and taking care of your kids wasn’t the biggest priorities in your life or when your morning started at 11 a.m.? Well, those days are not just things of the past now, at least that’s what two ambitious college students, Stu and Jon, are promising.
The duo took to crowdfunding platform, Tilt, today to raise $11,000 for their virtual reality college experience, UniVRsity. Within only a few hours, the project raised well over its initial goal and is currently sitting at nearly $15,000.
Sharing details about UniVRsity, Jon stated:
“We’ve created a way to take you back to the hazy memories of college through Virtual Reality technology [Oculus]—placing you in the thick of it all as though you’re right back where you left off. For only $10 you’ll get early access to our technology – launching in May 2015.
“Everyone knows college is the best time of your life, and what do we have to remember it by? Pictures, hazy memories, and likely an overworked liver. Our project will tilt at $11,000 and we will give you the VR technology to bring you back to the glory days. This experience will include drunk vision, the ability to run from the cops, and of course, as many keg stands as you can handle.
“We need YOUR help to make virtual college a reality. Contribute a few dollars so together we can make this happen!”
So far, the campaign has attracted nearly a 1,000 contributors and hilarious comments.
Those looking to back the project have until the end of April to contribute.
