Mythica: A Quest For Heroes Available Now on New On-Demand Streaming Channel; Second Installment Seeks Funds on Kickstarter

Featuring fan favorite Kevin Sorbo (Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, and Gene Rodenberry’s Andromeda), the first chapter in the three-movie series Mythica premiered on Monday exclusively on the multi-platform digital network CONtv.

photo-originalFilled with explosive action, magic, and drama, the first episode in the epic trilogy from sci-fi and action-adventure powerhouse Arrowstorm Entertainment, Movie Pilot reports that Mythica: A Quest For Heroes, is “the ultimate movie for fantasy fans, gamers with a penchant for RPGs, tabletop, and LARPing, and anyone who loves epic tales or wants to see strong, complex female characters in the lead.”

The results of a highly successful Kickstarter campaign, the film trilogy echoes the same characters and themes that appear in some of the most popular role playing games, comics, video games, and more, making it the perfect feature for the CONtv audience.

Mythica: A Quest For Heroes also stars Melanie Stone (Survivor), Jake Stormoen (The Christmas Dragon), Nicola Posener (Dawn of the Dragonslayer), and Adam Johnson (Dragonfyre), and was directed by Anne K. Black (The Crown and the Dragon).

When the beautiful Priestess Teela (Posener) falls victim to a massive Ogre, Marek rallies a misfit team of adventurers, including Thane the Warrior (Johnson) and Dagen the Thief (Stormoen), to join her in a fight to save her sister and their Legacy.

The next two chapters in the film trilogy, Mythica: The Darkspore and Mythica: The Necromancer, will be released exclusively on CONtv later this year. The Kickstarter campaign to complete Mythica: The Darkspore has also just launched and is seeking $75,000.

Mythica joins the growing slate of CONtv originals including Bruce Campbell’s (The Evil Dead) trivia game show Last Fan Standing, the YouTubers vs. zombies spoof reality competition Fight Of The Living Dead and the adrenaline-fueled action series that follows original Green Power Ranger Jason David Frank, My Morphing Life. With an ongoing commitment to debut fan-driven exclusive content, CONtv will be rolling out new and exclusive programming created by and for the fanspace on a monthly basis.

Those looking to fund Mythica: The Darkspore have until April 30th to give to its Kickstarter campaign.
