Kickstarter’s Yancey Strickler Talks Crowdfunding Failures (Video)

Each year, millions of backers hit crowdfunding platforms to raise funds for various projects: movies, technology, events… you name it, there’s a campaign for it. But what happens when the project’s organizers are unable to deliver?

Yancey StricklerCBS correspondent, Michelle Miller, investigated the situation by chatting with those who have crowdfunding experience and have seen success and failures, including Kickstarter’s CEO Yancey Strickler

Sharing his thoughts about campaign organizers that fail to give backers the finished products, Strickler stated:

“If everything turned out in the world as planned, every movie would have a great review and every product would work perfectly. The reality is different than that. And I don’t think it’s unique to Kickstarter.”
