Continuing to grow its brand, Startupbootcamp FinTech has announced Liz Lumley‘s appointment as the new managing director for London and will be responsible for the running of the accelerator programme in London.
“We are extremely happy to have Liz join us,” added Nektarios Liolios, global managing director, Startupbootcamp FinTech. “The world of fintech is an exciting place to be and far wider reaching than several years ago, which is evident in the demand for our fast track days all over the world. Liz’s wealth of experience and relationships will be a welcome addition to the team, as we continue to grow the accelerator globally, ensuring that we continue to reach the untapped startup communities.”
Lumley brings over 21 years’ experience in the financial technology and services sector, where she most recently served as the special projects editor at financial technology newswire, Finextra. Prior to that, she served as editor at a number of financial publications including Inside Reference Data and Waters Technology. Lumley is a regular speaker on the global conference circuit on fintech as well as investment, retail and global transactional banking.
“I have seen a lot of changes in banking, technology and financial services over the past two decades, and I believe passionately in the development of the burgeoning fintech sector. I am very excited to be joining the Startupbootcamp family and look forward to helping grow and develop a new generation of innovative fintech providers,” commented Liz Lumley, incoming managing director.
The fintech accelerator Startupbootcamp FinTech Singapore appointed Steven Tong earlier this week as a new managing director. Applications for Startupbootcamp FinTech London will remain open until 21 June 2015.
